Courtney’s path to founding HOMES Great Lakes began long before the brand was established. With over a decade of retail experience, including corporate roles with two major retailers, she built a solid foundation in product development. Her work included helping launch a private brand home and body collection, where she spent countless hours refining fragrance blends and packaging. Courtney traveled internationally to oversee production, visit vendor showrooms, factories, and study market trends which created invaluable skills for Courtney to create candles of her own.  

Her passion for candles has always complemented her professional experience and now drives her brand. The Great Lakes hold a special place in her family’s heart, deeply intertwined with their daily lives. After years of searching for safe, high-quality candles for her home, Courtney launched HOMES Great Lakes. Each hand-poured candle is crafted from carefully sourced ingredients, free from toxins, and features fragrances that evoke the spirit of the Great Lakes, creating a sense of nostalgia.
